Ye's Favorite New Rapper & Celeb Life Is Miserable
What’s poppin y’all,
I sincerely feel bad for most celebrities, and recently, Druski became the latest example of why. Some random person made up a wild story, spread it online, and now Druski is forced to respond because it gained traction.
This all started with the latest Diddy lawsuit—not new charges, just another civil suit. For some reason, Odell Beckham Jr. and Druski got dragged into it, even though the claims date back to 2018. The part about Druski allegedly throwing baby oil on someone and jumping on them like a slip and slide? That reads like a meme, yet he still has to take it seriously.
Druski responded immediately, shutting it down by saying he wasn’t even a public figure in 2018, was still broke and living with his mom. And he had to respond—his brand is too big, with too many endorsements to let something like this circulate without addressing it.
I honestly don’t understand why this person would drag Druski into this lawsuit. I originally assumed it was one of those notorious lawyers who constantly file lawsuits—but it’s someone else this time. Not Tony Busby, but another guy, the same one who sued DJ Akademiks, forcing him to spend six figures or more on legal fees. Ak claims the accusations against him are false because he never faced criminal charges, but whether that holds up legally is another discussion.
Kanye West Co-Signs Dave Blunts
Switching gears—Ye just gave Dave Blunts the biggest cosign of his career. And just between us, because this newsletter goes out to a select few, I want to share something cool.
Dave Blunts actually reached out to me a week or two ago. We chopped it up, and he told me he appreciates the way I’ve spoken about him. If you’ve seen my takes on him, you know I’ve been critical, but I’ve also been fair. I like his sound, I respect what he’s doing, and I think I’ve given a balanced perspective, especially as someone who's more of an "old head" in the underground scene.
But then Kanye West steps in and says:
"Dave Blunts is my favorite rapper. His raps give me the energy of my tweets."
That’s huge. This is going to bring so many new listeners to Dave Blunts, and it’s great to see him finally getting the credit and respect he deserves. Even if you’re not a fan, you can probably relate—whether you’re pursuing music, fashion, videos, or any creative path, getting noticed by a legend in your field is game-changing.
I remember early on, when I was getting five views per video, one of the rappers I covered reached out to me. We’re still close friends today, even though he hasn’t dropped music in years. That moment motivated me to keep going, and I would’ve kept going anyway, but it showed me that you never know who’s watching.
Now, Dave Blunts is already popping, but being co-signed by one of the biggest artists of our generation? That just elevates him to a whole new level.
What’s Next?
I still need to check out the Peterson album—just haven’t had the time. I’ve been completely swamped with projects for you guys, and I want to make sure when I do listen, I give you my full thoughts.
That’s it for today. More updates coming soon. Stay locked in.
